The Development Scientist I is responsible for participating in development and commercialization of immunoassays for an automated system. This person will assist in executing and analyzing experimental data as well as provide and presenting conclusions with team members as needed. They will participate in characterization, verification and validation of new and modified product designs. Additionally, you will be responsible for documentation of studies performed, including materials, methods, and conclusions. This position reports to the Manger of Development Science and is part of Research and Development Group located in Chaska, MN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Science (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related science) and 0+ years of laboratory experience
  • Training in Life Sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or medical related science), Laboratory Medicine, or other related clinical chemistry experience
  • Knowledge of good laboratory practices and scientific methods

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in clinical, research, manufacturing, or diagnostic setting with knowledge of immunoassay development
  • Working knowledge of basic statistical methods

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and commercialization of immunoassays
  • Execute experiments, analyze results and present conclusion to teams.
  • Communicate project status and experimental data with cross-functional teams, at all levels and across different cultures via verbal and written communication
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain timelines for multiple projects
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the department/field
