About The Position

Din Tai Fung is seeking an experienced Development Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of multiple projects/restaurants construction projects annually. This role is responsible for managing multiple restaurant projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with company goals, lease obligations, procuring long lead items, owner supplied items, budgets, and timelines. The Program Manager will coordinate efforts across internal teams, external stakeholders, and project specific teams to deliver high-quality, on-time openings that support Din Tai Fung growth objectives.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years experience in construction program or project management, preferably within the restaurant, hospitality, or retail sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously within a program framework.
  • Strong understanding of lease obligations, construction timelines, and multi-project coordination.
  • Experience leading procurement processes and managing vendor relationships for long-lead items and owner-specified products.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budget management, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore) and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure all projects meet lease obligations, construction milestones, and handoff deadlines.
  • Standardize and implement processes for tracking budgets, schedules, and deliverables across all projects.
  • Present regular program status updates and forecasts to senior leadership, highlighting key achievements and addressing any risks or delays.
  • Collaborate with the Design, Operations, and Facilities teams to ensure alignment and a seamless transition from construction to opening.
  • Manage relationships with architects, general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and other external partners to ensure program-wide success.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to align with program objectives and budgets.
  • Address risks and challenges at both project and program levels, proactively driving solutions.
  • Oversee the procurement of owner-specified and long-lead items across all projects, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery.
  • Monitor program budgets, payments, and invoicing, ensuring accountability and cost control.
