Mary's Place's mission statement is Ensuring that no child sleeps outside by centering equity and opportunity for women and families. Since 1999, Mary’s Place has helped thousands of women and families move from homelessness into more stable situations. We offer a three-pronged approach to support families through their housing crisis, which includes: Emergency shelter: Two 24/7 family shelters with 380 beds for households with children, which is a higher acuity solution for families with significant barriers to housing. Mobile Outreach: Provides on-the-ground support across King County to physically meet unsheltered families where they are and transition them directly into stable housing. Homelessness Prevention: Serves families currently housed but at risk of eviction and homelessness with rental assistance. The Temporary Part-Time Development Operations Specialist actively engages in Mary’s Place equity work—striving for racially equitable outcomes and taking responsibility for creating, maintaining, and affirming communities for people of color, immigrants and refugees, trans and gender-non-conforming people, and other populations who routinely encounter systemic oppressions. As an equal opportunity employer, people of color are encouraged to apply.
