Development Officer
About The Position
At Mosaic, the Development Officer leads fundraising efforts by identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts that help provide people supported by Mosaic with meaningful lives in a caring community. The role advances fundraising and campaign efforts by securing current and deferred major gifts; develops donor and prospect relationships in coordination with the VP of Development; partners with assigned locations on sustainable fundraising plans; maintains accurate electronic records; and identifies innovative opportunities for current and deferred giving. This is a remote position supporting Omaha, Fremont, Lincoln, Beatrice, and Kansas City, with a strong preference for candidates based in Omaha. The role involves extensive travel to meet donors.
Requirements
- At least five years of direct fundraising experience with a proven track record of closing current and deferred gifts.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Deep knowledge of fundraising trends and estate planning.
- Ability to ask for and close large gifts.
- Ability to conduct presentations for large audiences.
- Ability to travel extensively to meet donors.
Nice To Haves
- CFRE or CAP certification is preferred.
