About The Position

The Development Officer, Corporate and Community Partnerships plays a critical role in growing Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center’s corporate and community-based revenue while expanding DCAC’s visibility and impact across North Texas. This position is responsible for securing corporate financial support, cultivating in-kind partnerships, activating third-party beneficiary and point-of-sale giving opportunities, and strategically engaging volunteers as ambassadors for DCAC’s mission. This role serves as a primary outward-facing representative of DCAC to businesses, civic groups, and community partners, with a strong emphasis on relationship-building, presentations, and partnership development that lead to sustainable financial support. ABOUT DCAC: The mission of the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center is to improve the lives of abused children in Dallas County and to provide national leadership on child abuse issues. DCAC is a non-profit organization and the only agency of its kind in Dallas County, working in agreement with public and private agencies to investigate, prosecute, and provide healing services for child abuse cases in Dallas County. We reduce the victimization of the child, remove barriers to investigation and treatment, and enhance criminal prosecution with our distinctive multidisciplinary and united approach to these complex and severe cases, all at no cost to our clients. Each year, DCAC serves over 13,000 children and their non-offending family members. We are a national and international leader in the Children's Advocacy Center movement, recognized for our expertise in the identification, investigation, and prosecution of child abuse cases; cutting edge clinical services and programs for the victims and their non-offending family members; and our community and professional training programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in fundraising, nonprofit, business, marketing, or sales and a demonstrated 3-5 years successful fundraising or sales experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partners to grow unrestricted and programmatic revenue support.
  • Develop customized partnership opportunities aligned with corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals.
  • Expand DCAC’s corporate donor pipeline, with a focus on multi-year and non-event support.
  • Represent DCAC at corporate meetings, networking events, and community engagements.
  • Deliver presentations to corporations, civic groups, and community organizations to educate audiences about DCAC’s mission and impact.
  • Secure and manage third-party beneficiary partnerships, including: Point-of-sale (POS) giving Employee give-back days Percentage-of-sales promotions Collaborate with Marketing team to promote partner activations and recognize impact.
  • Lead strategy and execution for DCAC’s in-kind giving program.
  • Identify and steward in-kind partnerships that meet operational and programmatic needs year-round
  • Collaborate with all DCAC departments to identify available opportunities and needs for volunteers and coordinate volunteer placement and experiences to deepen engagement and build long-term affinity with DCAC.
  • Supports agency events, special events, and fundraising events such as Holiday of Hope, Art for Advocacy, Crimes Against Children Conference, Mahjong for a Mission, Bingo for Bravery, and client-serving drives to ensure volunteer needs are met for a successful event and guest experience.
  • Responsible for volunteer recruitment, tracking, training & onboarding, scheduling, on-site volunteer management, and compliance.
  • Partner with Advancement team to ensure volunteers are interviewed, background checked, and trained.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule in the weeks leading up to the Crimes Against Children Conference (June – August) during the week of Crimes Against Children Conference, and for the 3 to 4-week duration of our Holiday of Hope program in December. Flex time available.
  • Responsible for collaborating with marketing to co-create a monthly volunteer newsletter, Volunteer Voice to share important announcements and volunteer opportunities
  • Maintain and manage volunteer appreciation budget and ensure the budget is managed appropriately and within budgetary guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attend agency staff meetings and weekly supervision meetings with DOA.
  • Complete agency compliance training in a timely manner.
  • Attend and participate in the annual Crimes Against Children Conference and stay on site for the week of the event. (August)
  • Attend DCAC events where volunteers need to be managed or advancement team support is needed.
