The Sr. Development Coordinator, Corporate Partnerships supports the team’s mission to position Lurie Children’s as the charity of choice for corporate partners in Chicago and beyond. The position reports to the Director, Corporate Partnerships, with a dotted line reporting structure to the Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships. The role manages daily operations, in-kind giving, lead intake, event logistics, stewardship, volunteer engagement, and data integrity across the corporate portfolio. The Sr. Coordinator works closely with prospect managers to activate campaigns, track gifts, and deliver a strong donor experience that advances revenue, retention, and pipeline growth.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field preferred but not required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a professional setting. Experience in fundraising, marketing, or public relations is appreciated but not required.
  • Candidate should be detail oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to attend meetings and events, including some held during evenings and weekends, and present themselves professionally as a representative of Lurie Children’s.
  • Should demonstrate integrity, curiosity, and drive, with an energy level that supports high-quality, timely work.
  • Must exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when working with volunteers, donors, and staff. Should be patient, understanding, accurate, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • A collaborative team approach is necessary to work effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required, along with creativity and resourcefulness.
  • Must be willing to participate in meetings, special events, donor cultivation and recognition programs, and other activities across Foundation teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with prospect managers on year-round fundraising and stewardship strategy for corporate donors. Produce digital and print materials, manage partner communications, and support onsite activations.
  • Lead inbound corporate engagement, including oversight of the in-kind portfolio and qualification of new corporate leads. Source donations that align with hospital needs and serve as the primary point of contact for corporate in-kind inquiries. Review and qualify inbound leads by assessing partnership potential and coordinating next steps with leadership.
  • Support grants and reporting. Research corporate grant opportunities and assist with letters of inquiry, proposals, and renewals. Coordinate submission timelines, gather required documentation, and route materials for approval. Compile impact reports by collecting program updates, patient stories, and data. Track deadlines and deliverables to ensure timely submissions.
  • Plan and support corporate fundraising events and donor visits. Coordinate all event logistics for onsite experiences at Lurie Children’s, ensuring a smooth and welcoming visit for corporate donors and partners. Support event leads for CMNH Partner Summit, Corporate Champions, and other corporate donor events.
  • Administer giving and engagement platforms, including Benevity, GiveSmart, and Double the Donation. Monitor submissions and campaign pages, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with internal partners or vendors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate financial and donor records. Enter contact reports and proposal updates in Raiser’s Edge, record corporate gifts, support gift transmittals and check coding, manage gift documentation, and track invoices and purchasing for fundraising and stewardship materials.
  • Oversee vendor relationships for team materials. Source and price items such as event apparel, signage, and stewardship gifts, route orders through internal approval processes, place orders with vendors, track delivery, and manage accurate and timely payment.
  • Execute partner stewardship. Prepare and send acknowledgments and impact updates through letters, email, and personal touchpoints. Support partner visits and events by representing Lurie Children’s onsite and ensuring a positive and donor-centered experience.
  • Provide responsive support to internal and external partners. Meet standards for timeliness, accuracy, communication, and teamwork.
