About The Position

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Development Manager at our Newtown Square, PA location responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of modules or features of a product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Five (5) years involving each of the following: Storage infrastructure operations services including file and block; Data protection technologies, storage product software, tools, and respective hardware experience on products NetApp, Pure, Dell EMC, Brocade, and Cisco; Protocols knowledge over storage area network and network attached storage; Participate in de-escalation activities, and experience in Information technology service management that includes handling Incidents, problems, changes, and business process workflows; Operating systems experience in window and Unix platforms; Liaison with the vendor, and internal teams on storage design, configuration, risk mitigation procedures, and lifecycle management activities including forecasting as well as demand planning; and Aggregated Knowledge in public and SAP private cloud service including OpenStack modules as well as DevOps tools, scripting, and respective automation frameworks.

  • Hire, foster motivation, integrate employees, as well as team learning and development.
  • Actively address and resolve team issues.
  • Provide application implementation services typically within the boundaries of specifications and project plans.
  • Design activities include requirements analysis and design documentation.
  • Implementation activities include implementation, testing and integration.
  • Maintenance activities include error analysis and removal.
  • Extend, modify, or adapt existing designs may also be involved in the development of new (sub-)systems.
  • Offer feedback and set development goals.
  • Drive and actively participate in the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP).
  • Actively drive Customer Collaboration aligned with PO.
  • Contribute as a management stakeholder to sustainable and high-quality components that can easily be integrated into a product.
  • Proactively act to understand business needs and offer solutions that align across business units.
  • Responsible for implementing strategic action plans and make operational decisions on policies, tactics, and resources critical to the function's business success.
  • Ensure strategy roll-out into own team/organization.
