About The Position
Kimco Realty Corp. (NYSE: Kim), North America’s largest publicly traded owners and operators of open-air, grocery-anchored shopping centers and mixed-use assets, is currently seeking Interns to join our collaborative, challenging, growth oriented team. We're seeking smart, driven candidates who are passionate about beginning a career in real estate. This internship will involve working approximately 40 hours per week for a duration of approximately 8 weeks, with flexible start and end dates. Interns will be paid an hourly rate of $20 an hour.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in a business oriented major, preferably with a focus in real estate
- Strong written, verbal and analytical skills
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of internal and external customers
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn internal systems
Responsibilities
- Attend OAC and construction meetings for a 214-unit multifamily project
- Support market research (rent comps, retail prospecting, void analysis)
- Assist with due diligence for development projects across West Coast assets
- Build/maintain comp databases (parking, approvals, design teams, etc.)
- Track tenant approvals, leases, and redevelopment items
- Conduct site/portfolio analysis (parking audits, reports, surveys)
- Prepare FOIA requests and property exhibit packages
- Support feasibility analysis (TestFit, basic proforma + lease review)
- Assist with ad hoc projects across Development and cross-functional teams
