About The Position

Sony Nonfiction is offering a Development Intern position for Fall 2026. This paid, seasonal assignment is part of their Emerging Talent Programs, designed to provide hands-on opportunities for students and early-career professionals. Interns will contribute to teams behind film, television, and entertainment experiences, taking on real responsibilities, building practical skills, and gaining exposure to the business through structured learning, executive engagement, and networking. The program is ideal for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, or those seeking to deepen their education through immersive professional experience in the entertainment industry. B17 Entertainment, under Sony Nonfiction, produces content in various genres and focuses on multi-platform programming with millennial and Gen Z appeal.

Requirements

  • In college or just graduated students who are interested in a career in unscripted television/content.
  • Writing experience.
  • Strong researcher.
  • Comfortable with Canva and Photoshop.
  • Experience with AI image generation.
  • Self-starter eager to bring ideas to the table.
  • A watcher and enjoyer of unscripted content.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to pull footage and edit string outs would help if possible.
  • Knowledge of current and past unscripted shows a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Help research, writing copy for sales decks, pulling images and footage for sales decks and sizzle reels and helping edit string outs.
  • Bring in new ideas, contribute in group brainstorms, and keep the company apprised of what’s trending across various social media.
  • May have the chance to go on set and assist on shoots, when available.
