The Development Giving Officer manages a portfolio of mid-level donors and prospects to secure philanthropic support for Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University. Focused on gifts typically ranging from $5,000 to $50,000, this role identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards donors to advance the priorities of the five schools within Virginia Health Sciences. Working collaboratively with faculty, department leaders and development colleagues, the Development Giving Officer supports both individual fundraising goals and departmental priorities, helping to generate current-use and endowed support aligned with institutional strategy. The position is accountable for meeting annual fundraising targets, maintaining an active portfolio, and contributing to the overall growth of the Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at ODU philanthropic program.
