About The Position
Yakima Neighborhood Health Services (YNHS) is a Community Health Center established in 1975, dedicated to improving the quality of life and equity in Central Washington State through holistic and integrated team-based care. Our mission extends to ending homelessness and providing unique learning opportunities for health professions students. We offer comprehensive services including primary medical care, dental, behavioral health, care coordination, pharmacy, health-related social needs (including housing), and other basic needs. Our focus populations include agricultural workers, people experiencing homelessness, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and anyone requiring extra support. YNHS is a welcoming organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant research, development, and writing, including federal, state, and foundation awards.
- Demonstrated experience with federal grants (HRSA, SAMHSA, HUD, CDC, NIH).
- Working knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), NOFOs, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local regulations and program requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant research tools.
- Must not be excluded from federal or state healthcare programs.

- Master’s degree may substitute for experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead grant prospecting strategy and maintain funding pipeline.
- Serve as lead author for competitive federal and foundation proposals.
- Ensure compliance with federal grant requirements and regulations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for proposal development.
- Manage grant lifecycle, including reporting and compliance.
- Maintain tracking systems and improve grant processes.
