About The Position

Utah Community Action is looking for an energetic, relationship-focused Director of Development to lead fundraising efforts that power life-changing programs and strengthen communities across the State. As our Director of Development, you'll lead and grow a dynamic fundraising strategy that supports the organization's mission and long-term sustainability. You'll work closely with agency leadership, community partners, donors, and the Development Team to expand resources and elevate our impact.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Nonprofit fundraising experience
3+ years of supervisory experience
Grant development experience
Public speaking and event planning experience
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass required background and health screenings
Compliance with agency personnel policies and Head Start requirements

Responsibilities

Developing annual and multi-year fundraising plans
Leading donor engagement, major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and stewardship efforts
Creating strategic campaigns with measurable goals and timelines
Overseeing grant prospecting, writing, reporting, and compliance
Supporting agency-wide strategic planning and community needs assessments
Representing the agency at meetings, presentations, and special events
Collaborating with leadership to strengthen program growth and sustainability
Coaching and supporting the Development Team
