About The Position

Wipro Limited is hiring a Developer to develop and test software modules based on client requirements and prepare project documentation, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality delivery. The role is described as a Java Backend Lead position focused on the banking domain. It leads backend development, designs Spring Boot microservices, and drives technical delivery from end to end. The position also involves building RESTful APIs and integrations, improving service performance and scalability, meeting banking security standards, resolving production issues, and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience.
Experience with Core Java and Java 8, 11, or 17+.
Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Cloud.
Knowledge of microservices architecture.
Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Experience with REST APIs, Postman, and Swagger.
Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
Experience with Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Mandatory skill: Enterprise Platform Engineering Java.

Nice To Haves

Banking or payments background.
Experience in core banking, digital payments, or fraud systems.
Understanding of PCI-DSS, encryption, and audit logging.

Responsibilities
