Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Familiarity with cloud development on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Lambda and Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3)
• Ability to turn a defined specification into working, tested code and own it through to production, using object-oriented design, design patterns, and data modeling
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle
• Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Experience delivering within an Agile framework such as Scrum or Kanban, using an issue tracker such as Jira
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with non-technical client stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Proficiency in creating accurate estimates for assigned tasks and work efforts
• Proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel
• United States citizenship
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on delivery of production workloads on Amazon Web Services (AWS), an AWS certification, or a Python certification
• Federal information technology experience
• Experience working in a client-facing consulting environment
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted developer tooling
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices

Responsibilities

• Integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products with frameworks developed in-house.
• Build internal and external application programming interface (API) connections.
• Build data and document pipelines that automate manual, paper-based work.
• Design, develop, and implement Python-based enterprise solutions that meet client requirements.
• Support quality development practices, including test-driven development and automated testing.
• Deliver tested, working code you own through production, including the defects you find and fix.
• Automate business operations that replace manual checks, validations, and spreadsheet workflows, and build deployment pipelines that make releasing services routine.
