About The Position

Tenex is a company focused on helping organizations become AI-native by embedding AI SWAT teams to solve complex problems. They operate at the intersection of strategy and engineering, emphasizing speed, rigor, intellectual curiosity, and ownership. The Developer Relations role at Tenex is unique, combining AI software building with content creation and customer education. The role involves using frontier AI coding tools to build software and then translating these builds into educational content for AI-curious operators, founders, and enterprise leaders. Additionally, the role includes leading AI workshops for customers, ranging from hackathons to function-specific enablement sessions. The work is cyclical, with builds informing content, content sharpening workshops, and workshops identifying new builds. The position reports to Alex Lieberman, Cofounder of Tenex & Morning Brew, and collaborates with engineering, GTM, and content teams. This is a high-ownership role for an individual who can code, create compelling content, and effectively train customers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software building experience, with practical experience using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or equivalents) for production or user-facing work.
  • A strong portfolio of teaching content (videos, posts, playbooks, threads) explaining technical concepts to a technical or AI-curious audience.
  • Deep understanding of AI, including current developments, relevant tools, and practical workflow application.
  • Experience in leading workshops or training sessions, particularly technical material for non-technical audiences.
  • A creator's instinct for identifying compelling aspects of builds and workflows for content creation.
  • Operational discipline to manage parallel workflows (builds, content, workshops) and produce/edit content independently.
  • Exceptional taste and judgment in distinguishing between effective demos and scrutinized builds, and polished versus impactful content.
  • High ownership mentality and low ego, willing to perform diverse tasks and provide constructive feedback.
