About The Position

Snyk is seeking a Developer Relations & Events Intern based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role will involve representing Snyk at various tech events, including meetups, conferences, and hackathons, with a focus on AI and security. The intern will play a key role in shaping how organizations build and secure software by being the driving force behind Snyk's local community presence. Responsibilities include acting as a confident representative of Snyk's culture, engaging with the tech community, assisting in the planning and execution of events, managing event registrations and guest relations, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure community engagement.

Requirements

Natural "stage presence" and high-energy professionalism for brand representation.
Embody the creative, tech-savvy spirit of San Francisco and knowledge of the city's tech scene.
Extroverted personality, energized by talking to strangers and acting as an event "glue".
Bias for action and flexibility to attend evening events.
Experience in hosting, customer service, or brand ambassador roles.
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing event planning logistics.

Nice To Haves

Experience in public speaking, theater, or professional hosting.
Trend-spotter with knowledge of the latest AI and tech community culture in the Bay Area.
Ability to host engaging team lunches or keep presentations fun.
Sense of humor.

Responsibilities

Act as a key face of Snyk, representing our "Forward Thinking" culture with confidence at a podium or within a crowd.
Represent Snyk at the hottest AI and Security events across the SF Bay Area, ensuring Snyk is synonymous with the city's innovative spirit.
Help plan and execute high-impact conferences, from securing trendiest venues in SoMa to coordinating AI Security panels.
Lead event registrations and guest relations as a Master of Ceremonies, ensuring every attendee leaves with a premium impression of Snyk.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure our "SF Pulse" is felt in every community activation and late-night hackathon.
