About The Position

AWS Developer Relations is seeking a Community Manager to join the Builder Community Programs team. This team owns the strategy and execution for AWS's flagship community programs — AWS Heroes and AWS Community Builders — serving +4,000 members across 115+ countries. You will play a critical role in growing and nurturing a global community of technical advocates who create content, speak at events, and help millions of developers succeed with AWS.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience in a marketing role

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading complex global or country-wide initiatives
  • Experience in the cloud computing, open source, or developer tools ecosystem
  • Familiarity with AWS services or other major cloud platforms
  • Experience with community analytics, engagement metrics, and data-driven program iteration
  • Passion for developer communities and an understanding of what motivates technical practitioners to contribute and share knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for community members, building authentic relationships and ensuring members feel supported, valued, and connected to AWS
  • Manage day-to-day operations for community programs, including member onboarding, communications, and lifecycle management
  • Assist in development of community initiatives that increase scale and health of the community.
  • Help manage cohort cycles for Community programs, including applications, evaluations, renewals, and graduation tracking
  • Coordinate community presence (re:Invent, Summits, Community Days) and support community member participation at at AWS and third-party events
  • Identify opportunities to amplify community voices through AWS marketing channels — blog posts, video content, customer stories, and social media
  • Partner with AWS product teams to facilitate community feedback loops, technical briefings, and early access programs
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, and analytics teams to amplify community impact.
