About The Position

Tonic.ai is seeking a Developer Community Manager to serve as the primary representative of the company within developer communities. This role involves managing the company's presence across social media, video content, influencer programs, and events. The Developer Community Manager will be responsible for engaging with developers, understanding their needs, and communicating Tonic.ai's product value in a clear, developer-centric manner. This is a "build" role, requiring initiative and creativity to establish and execute programs that may not yet exist. The position reports to the Director of Product Marketing and collaborates across the product suite.

Requirements

2–5 years in social media, community, content, developer relations, or a related creative marketing role.
AI-native: daily use of AI tools for productivity and problem-solving.
Creative and outgoing personality with a proactive approach to engagement.
Genuinely comfortable and energized by being on camera.
Strong writing skills, adaptable to different formats (social posts, video scripts).
Hands-on experience with video production (idea to finished product) or adjacent experience with a capacity for rapid learning.
Comfort operating without a fully established playbook; ability to figure things out as you go.
Strong curiosity about technical audiences, even without direct developer experience.

Developer experience (e.g., written code, contributed to open source, spent time in developer communities).

Responsibilities

Serve as a credible and enthusiastic advocate for Tonic.ai products within developer communities.
Gather and relay community feedback, questions, and frustrations to product and marketing teams.
Explain Tonic.ai products and their benefits in clear, developer-native language.
Own and execute the company's influencer program from inception.
Build and maintain relationships with developer influencers and creators through outreach, briefing, and follow-through.
Drive influencer engagement, product usage, and content sharing.
Track influencer program performance and report on its impact.
Manage the company's social media presence across platforms like LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and Reddit.
Ideate, draft, and publish original social media content, including short-form video.
Engage with the community by responding to comments and participating in relevant conversations.
Ideate video topics, write scripts, and record on-camera segments.
Capture product demos and produce/edit videos for social media, YouTube, and the website.
Represent Tonic.ai at owned events and sponsored hackathons.
Assist in planning and executing event presence, including booths and breakout sessions.
Transform event moments into lasting content.
