Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in, or a demonstrated working knowledge of at least 10 years working in the field in US defense policy, strategy, or plans related to strategic deterrence
• Accredited Master’s degree required.
• Expert level of knowledge in deterrence theory, deterrence models and deterrence strategy.
• Expert knowledge of historical US deterrence strategies, models, their defining characteristics, and successes.
• Knowledge of game theory.
• Knowledge of strategic military strategy, planning, operations and the nuclear enterprise.
• Knowledge of the current strategic threat environment.

Nice To Haves

• Doctoral degree preferred in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, STEM or related national security degree highly desirable
• Recent publication, within the past 5-10 years in strategic studies, deterrence or related nuclear matters is highly desirable.
