As a Detention Security Guard - Full Time Unarmed in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned county locations, maintaining a visible presence that helps deter incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, support access control and badge processes, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned areas and around the property perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports in accordance with site procedures.
