Responsibilities include providing security during treatment activities, supervising labor crews, ensuring prompt assistance for non-citizens in case of injury or illness, preparing reports, maintaining logs, initiating disciplinary reports, and conducting shakedowns for contraband. The officer also promotes facility cleanliness, reports maintenance needs, and serves on special response teams. Successful completion of required training and background screening is necessary. The position requires an individual who is emotionally stable, understanding, and attuned to the facility's objectives, with strong language and reasoning skills for daily interaction with non-citizens and staff.
