About The Position
This position plans and performs a wide range of general medical nursing duties including inmate daily sick call, record keeping, medication administration and control. The Full-Time Nurse will coordinate care with contracted physicians to perform medical services.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Maintain RN license through continuing education credits.
- Nursing experience, preferably one year.
- Ability to work independently with appropriate guidance from the Healthcare Director and/or the County Physician.
- Effective human relation skills to deal with individuals at all levels, including inmates, officers, and other Detention Center employees.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and respond appropriately.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Must provide a driving record dated within the last 30 days.
- Must complete and notarize a waiver.
- Must complete and upload a Veterans' Form.
