About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and delivers through teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized individuals by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities within a correctional environment.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established post orders and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including perimeters, to help identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and designated site representatives.
