About The Position

Titan Security is currently hiring Detention Administrators to work at a correctional location in Lincoln Park, Michigan. The Admin for this position will work in a correctional facility setting and will be responsible for duties to include overseeing and monitoring the activities of the intake and release areas, completing all daily information forms necessary in processing offenders in/out of the facility, updating computer upon arrivals/departures of offenders, updating count board upon arrival/departure of offenders, operating fingerprinting for incoming offenders, ensuring all arriving offenders receive appropriate identification, including ID and wristband, being responsible for completion of inventory of property for incoming/outgoing offenders, properly identifying each offender scheduled to be released, and notifying necessary departments of pending incoming/outgoing offenders.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
Ability to handle physical and mental stress associated with working extended hours.
Must be able to regularly report to work without being late.
Ability to be physically alert on any shift that is assigned.
Must be mature, flexible, able to command the respect and confidence of inmates or detainees and staff, philosophically committed to the objectives of the facility, and possess a high tolerance to mental stress.

Nice To Haves

Prior corrections officer or law enforcement background preferred.
Work experience in a correctional setting is preferred.
May be required to possess a valid state driver’s license.
1 year experience as a security or corrections officer

Responsibilities

Oversee and monitor the activities of the intake and release areas.
Complete all daily information forms necessary in processing offenders in/out of the facility.
Update computer upon arrivals/departures of offenders.
Update count board upon arrival/departure of offenders.
Operate Fingerprinting for incoming offenders.
Ensure all arriving offenders receive appropriate identification, including ID and wristband.
Responsible for completion of inventory of property for incoming/outgoing offenders.
Properly identify each offender scheduled to be released.
Notify necessary departments of pending incoming/outgoing offenders.
