About The Position

Midway Motors is looking for a Detailer to help keep our vehicles looking their best. This role is key in delivering a great customer experience by cleaning, restoring, and preparing vehicles for sale and service customers. We’re looking for someone who is a team player, energetic, professional, and takes pride in their work while being part of our community-focused culture.

Requirements

  • 0-3 months related experience
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • Ability to wear safety equipment required for the position

Responsibilities

  • Clean and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors
  • Wash, wax, vacuum, and treat surfaces (vinyl, leather, carpet, etc.)
  • Clean engines and remove tough debris using proper products
  • Apply tire dressing and ensure vehicles are lot-ready
  • Place/remove required stickers on vehicles
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use equipment properly
  • Report any safety concerns and assist with additional tasks as needed
  • Wash outside of the vehicles, wash windows inside and outside and wipe the hold-open mechanisms.
  • Apply wax to the bodywork and wipe or buff surface with non-abrasive products.
  • Vacuum vehicles inside to remove dust and debris.
  • Clean the upholstery, carpets and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaners, applicators and cleaning equipment.
  • Apply revitalizers and preservatives to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot removers.
  • Clean the engine and engine compartment with special cleaning equipment and various cleaners.
  • Apply special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which do not respond to ordinary cleaning procedures, using experience and judgment as well as following the manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Wear appropriate safety gear to protect eyes, hands and body when using any hazardous products.
  • Apply dressing to the tires and walls of tires.
  • Ensure appropriate company stickers are displayed on vehicle.
  • Remove any stickers not required from vehicles which have been sold.
  • Ensure that shop is clean and tidy.
  • Use all tools and equipment safely.
  • Report any safety issues to management as soon as possible.
  • Perform other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions.
