About The Position

The Detailer performs various detailing and transportation tasks for new and pre-owned boats, motors, trailers, and ATVs, supporting the TMBC Sales, Service, and Parts operation. This role emphasizes world-class customer service to ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience. Key duties include washing, cleaning, waxing, and vacuuming the interiors and exteriors of boats for customer pickups, display, and service. The Detailer also uses a forklift or tractor to unload incoming products and transport them to various dealership areas such as the storage lot, outside display, showroom floor, or customer delivery area. Responsibilities extend to confirming packing lists for deliveries, staging customer units for service, rigging, and storage, and maintaining an updated list of cleaning supplies. The Detailer assists Riggers and Service Specialists with Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and VIN verification processes, and reports any unit concerns or required repairs to the Service Manager or Service Lead. Additionally, the role involves performing grounds and facility maintenance and keeping the work area neat and clean. The position requires independent judgment in resolving problems and making recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent experience
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Ongoing verification of driving eligibility will be conducted to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to qualify for this position.
  • Successful completion of DOT physical may be required
  • Ability to complete simple math calculation.
  • Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and fellow outfitters

Responsibilities

  • Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Washes, cleans, waxes, vacuums, etc. interiors and exteriors of boats for scheduled customer pickups, display and service customer units.
  • Using a fork lift or tractor, participates in the unloading of incoming boats, motors, trailers and ATVs then transport them to various areas within the dealership, i.e. storage lot, outside display, showroom floor or customer delivery area.
  • Confirms packing list or invoice of all boat loads or other product deliveries.
  • Transports and stages customer boats and ATV’s to service, rigging and storage yard by moving units from one location to another as necessary.
  • Maintains an updated list of cleaning supplies and inform Service Manager or Service Lead of needed items.
  • Assists Rigger and Service Specialist with PDI and VIN verification processes.
  • Informs Service Manager or Service Lead of any unit concerns or required repairs.
  • Performs grounds and facility maintenance as required.
  • Keeps work area neat and clean.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
