Detailed Machine Cleaner
About The Position
The Ongoing Order Area is not climate controlled due to tobacco having to be at a certain temperature. It’s an area that will be dusty and menthol will be strong on occasions. The role requires the ability to work in a team setting and occasionally working alone. This position demands strong attention to detail as you will be cleaning from the top of the units to the floor. Responsibilities include pushing carts with collected tobacco, weighing it, and preparing it for a material handler. You will use an air hose to clean inside and outside units, and occasionally a water hose, ensuring water does not get on belts. The role involves repetitive movements and standing on platforms to clean smaller bulkers, units, and conveyors. Climbing ladders and steps will be required to clean the pans where tobacco is collected from the units.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and be on your feet throughout the whole shift.
- Not afraid of heights.
- Comfortable working in a smoking environment.
- Ability to work in a team setting and occasionally alone.
