About The Position

The Detail Technician is responsible for performing thorough interior and exterior detail work on new, pre-owned, and service vehicles. This role is crucial as the Detail Technician is the last person to touch a vehicle before it is presented to the guest, significantly impacting the guest's first impression. Gresham Toyota is a high-volume store that provides training for this entry-level position, with no prior detailing experience required. The position operates on a flat-rate pay structure, rewarding efficiency and attention to detail.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Comfortable being on your feet and working with your hands throughout your shift.
Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Reliable and punctual.

Nice To Haves

2+ years of detailing experience preferred.
Candidates with comparable experience from auto body, car wash, recon, or other hands-on vehicle care backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Prior detailing, auto body, or car wash experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough interior and exterior detail work on new, pre-owned, and service vehicles, including washing, vacuuming, shampooing, polishing, and protecting surfaces to a consistent, guest-ready standard.
Prepare new vehicle deliveries, ensuring every vehicle is spotless, correctly staged, and presentation-ready before it reaches the guest.
Recondition pre-owned and trade-in vehicles, bringing interiors and exteriors to frontline-ready condition efficiently and accurately.
Perform post-service vehicle cleaning as directed, returning service guests' vehicles clean and presentable.
Move vehicles safely between the detail bay, service lane, and lot as needed.
Document completed work accurately and flag any paint, interior, or body damage discovered during the detail process.
