This hands-on position involves using hand tools and portable power tools to trim, grind, repair, and clean molded fiberglass products. Specialists maintain a focus on quality control by examining finishes, performing repairs, and smoothing surfaces to achieve flawless results. The role demands a commitment to safety, proper handling of hazardous chemicals, and maintaining a clean work environment while supporting team production goals.

Requirements

Proficiency in trimming and grinding rough fiberglass.
Ability to make precise cuts and through holes for assembly installation.
Skilled in smoothing surfaces to achieve high-quality finishes.
Skilled in checking fiberglass thickness.
Skilled in examining finishes for defects.
Skilled in performing repairs such as drilling, patching, repainting, and buffing ground-out areas.
Experienced in using hand tools and portable power tools with precision.
Strong adherence to safe practices.
Proper handling of hazardous chemicals.
Maintaining a clean work area.
Collaborative approach with flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned.
