About The Position

Our Desktop Support department is currently seeking a desktop support technician to build, configure and install Windows desktops and laptops; and perform advanced hardware and software troubleshooting for associates.

Requirements

  • experience installing hardware and software
  • effective communication and customer service skills
  • experience with Windows 10 and Office 365 suite of products including Excel, Word, Access and Outlook
  • working knowledge of networks and network terminology
  • repair skills for PCs and peripherals
  • must be a self-starter
  • the ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate’s degree or have equivalent experience in computer science or related discipline.
  • Industry relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ as well as knowledge of Windows 10 and VMWare view/thin clients.

Responsibilities

  • perform essential software installs and uninstalls
  • perform new system imaging and configuration
  • track and update open calls and escalate situations as necessary
  • assist in creating documentation for installing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • complete assigned projects on time and provide status reports to management
  • install hardware and software, including operating system and office applications
  • perform required quality assurance tests
  • work with customers, set appointments, maintain schedules and other documentation
