About The Position

The Deskside Support Specialist provides first- and second-level support for end-user hardware, software, printers, network connectivity, and related IT services. This position is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing desktop and laptop systems while supporting associates directly at their workstations and on the manufacturing floor. The role requires frequent interaction with production personnel, engineers, administrative staff, and leadership to ensure minimal disruption to operations. Complex infrastructure issues involving servers, enterprise networking, or centralized systems are escalated to appropriate IT support teams while maintaining ownership of communication and follow-up. This is a full-time on-site position requiring daily support of manufacturing operations and production-floor technology. Additionally, the role requires immediate response to production-impacting issues 24/7.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two years of hands-on desktop, deskside, or technical support experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems, computer hardware, printers, and peripherals.
  • Ability to work full time on-site and provide support in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
  • Future sponsorship for work authorization unavailable.
  • Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or equivalent.
  • Experience with device imaging, endpoint management, and enterprise IT service management tools.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing-floor technology and production operations.
