About The Position

Desk Aides with the Office of Student Housing and Residence Life (SHRL) serve as the first point of contact at the front desks of the Residence Halls during the academic year. They play a key role in monitoring access, providing customer service, and assisting with various administrative duties that support the daily operation of the residence halls.

Requirements

• Work-Study is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the entrance and exit of buildings and validate individuals entering and leaving
• Support the safety and security of the Residence Halls in accordance with SHRL guidelines for operating a Front Desk
• Answer desk phone and assist with student and visitor questions
• Complete administrative tasks including documentation, filing, and organization
• Support professional and student staff in daily operations
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals and daily operations of the department
