About The Position

Tindall Corporation is a leading Precast Concrete Manufacturer with locations throughout the Southeastern U.S. Our mission is to support our customers, create remarkable structures, and deliver never-before-seen solutions every step of the way. This role involves preparing shop tickets for various pre-cast structures using computer-assisted drafting software, supporting the design team on a variety of projects, and handling day-to-day functions related to design and fabrication. The Designer will also prepare erection drawings for basic structures under the supervision of the Engineer Lead.

Requirements

Less than a year prior or related experience required.
An equivalent combination of related experience and education can be considered in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree (2 year) in Design Drafting, or a related field of study, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare shop tickets for various pre-cast structures using computer-assisted drafting software.
Support the design team on a variety of projects and the day-to-day functions as it relates to design and fabrication.
Prepare erection drawings for basic structures under the supervision of the Engineer Lead.
Read and plot erection details and drawings.
Confer with Project Lead about shop card detailing priorities and review erection drawings and details.
Create shop cards by utilizing a computer-aided drafting or modeling programs, such as AutoCAD, and ensure drawings conform to standard detailing practices.
Present scrubbed shop cards to Project Lead for their verification of correctness.
Scrub red-lines from Project Lead check prints.
Detail Steel Cards from sketches or markups provided by Project Designers or Design Engineers.
