About The Position

This role involves executing the design or integration of new components into existing installations, developing and proposing fits, tolerances, and design changes for engineering review. The designer will define and select components, assemblies, or systems that meet business standards and program/product requirements. They will also create new Bills of Materials (BOMs) tailored to customer installations and modify existing BOMs and drawings to support product revisions or enhancements. Additionally, the designer will assist engineers in preparing technical data for internal and external customers, process Engineering Work Requests, and collaborate closely with ACI/Cooper's drafting resources to ensure accuracy and timely updates of new or revised drawings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or Drafting
• Associate of Applied Science in Drafting or Design
• Mechanical Drafting Technical Certificate
• Minimum 2 years of experience in product design or drafting
• Proficiency in CAD Software, preferably Solid Edge or Solid Works.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and ASME Code knowledge.

Nice To Haves

• Background in compression and/or engines.
• Product design or drafting experience in compression and/or engines.
