Requirements

  • Hold a technical diploma or degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in marine design across various systems or disciplines, with a solid understanding of design principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with 3D product modeling tools used in new construction and refit projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and design documentation is essential.
  • Experience with design and data management tools such as AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, CADMATIC, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and revise 3D models and fabrication drawings in alignment with project requirements for structural components and distributed systems.
  • Incorporate redlines and mark-up revisions to maintain drawing accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure deliverables meet internal quality standards and project specifications.
  • Ensure 3D models adhere to applicable regulatory requirements, classification society rules (e.g., DNV, Lloyd’s Register), design standards, and client-specific guidelines.
  • Read and interpret technical documentation, detailed design drawings, and construction plans related to structural and systems design.
  • Support technical integration and provide design input across multidisciplinary shipbuilding projects as needed.
