Requirements
- Hold a technical diploma or degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in marine design across various systems or disciplines, with a solid understanding of design principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with 3D product modeling tools used in new construction and refit projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and design documentation is essential.
- Experience with design and data management tools such as AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, CADMATIC, or similar platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and revise 3D models and fabrication drawings in alignment with project requirements for structural components and distributed systems.
- Incorporate redlines and mark-up revisions to maintain drawing accuracy and consistency.
- Perform quality checks to ensure deliverables meet internal quality standards and project specifications.
- Ensure 3D models adhere to applicable regulatory requirements, classification society rules (e.g., DNV, Lloyd’s Register), design standards, and client-specific guidelines.
- Read and interpret technical documentation, detailed design drawings, and construction plans related to structural and systems design.
- Support technical integration and provide design input across multidisciplinary shipbuilding projects as needed.
