About The Position

Nucor Warehouse Systems is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Designer II. This role involves generating and designing fabrication drawings, permit drawings, and installation drawings for customers. The Designer II will need to understand engineering calculations to design systems, perform basic math for system weight calculations, and adhere to blueprint standards. This position requires collaboration with customers, sales, engineering, and project managers to support client projects. Additionally, the Designer II will be responsible for understanding fabrication drawings, customer approval drawings, and generating bills of materials for RFPs. Requirements

0-3 years’ experience in the Racking/ Supply Chain industry
Experience using Design Software’s (AutoCAD and Inventor) or equivalent
Ability to understand engineering calculations to help design systems
Basic math skills to calculate system weights
Understanding of blueprint standards

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, design, or comparable experience
Prior experience leading a team
