Requirements

  • Equivalent of a Bachelors degree in Architecture or Interior Design or an Architectural Studies degree preferred, but not required.
  • Produce accurate construction documents detailing the clients vision and goals.
  • Document and analyze existing building conditions to produce as-built documents and reports (Travel required).
  • Conduct building code analysis and research regulatory requirements to determine design constraints.
  • Develop design options and alternates.
  • Coordinate building components and systems with other disciplines to develop construction documents based on the clients requirements.
  • Perform quality control of their own work prior to giving to the Architect of Record for signing and sealing.
  • Depending on needs of client and team, Designer could have direct contact with client on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Use 2D and 3D software to assist the Design Team in the development of designs and drafting construction documents in support of clients' building program.
  • Utilize education and experience to independently tackle challenges as they arise on projects with the support of the Design Team lead.
  • Gain experience evaluating client requirements, building code, and zoning regulations to develop design recommendations.
  • Provide technical design planning and coordination in a collaborative and multi-disciplined environment.
