About The Position

With a career at The Home Depot, you can be yourself and also be part of something bigger. Position Purpose: The Designer supports facility projects across the THD Supply Chain organization. The role performs design and related drafting support activities for all active projects. The role is also responsible for maintaining the repository of drawings associated with the Supply Chain network.

Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
• 4 years of work experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Proficient skills drafting with 2D AutoCAD
• Basic 3D design/drafting experience

Nice To Haves

• Ability to perform material and labor estimates
• Experience within the warehousing and distribution sector
• Experience with material handling systems and equipment design

Responsibilities

• Generate/maintain updated as-built drawings for all sites
• Own the ongoing management of related drawings/designs
• Design and detail TI drawings and composite layouts for operational layouts and related components for all active projects
• Work w/ project management personnel to coordinate requested assignments
