About The Position

Southern Industrial Constructors Inc. is seeking a Draftsman to work at a GE site in Wilmington, NC. C reate, review and update 2D and 3D drawing packages for presentation and fabrication purposes. Draw/design various types of industrial drawings such as equipment layouts, foundations, safety platforms, machine guarding, and tooling. Support team members with cost estimates, procurement, and project management. Communicate with GE personnel such as Facilities Leader, EHS, and Cell Leaders. Coordinate with vendors to spec products for facility use. Update & revise electrical schematics and other utility drawings by field verification or by marked up. Manage drawing files or record keeping.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience with AutoCAD
Experience with MS office suite
Conditions include working in office, with occasional entry into shop, busy traffic areas, and warehouses.
Occasional exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.
Must be able to safely access all areas of property.
Must be able to effectively use any required PPE equipment.

Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
