About The Position

Southern Industrial Constructors Inc. is seeking a Draftsman to work at a GE site in Wilmington, NC. Create, review and update 2D and 3D drawing packages for presentation and fabrication purposes. Draw/design various types of industrial drawings such as equipment layouts, foundations, safety platforms, machine guarding, and tooling. Support team members with cost estimates, procurement, and project management. Communicate with GE personnel such as Facilities Leader, EHS, and Cell Leaders. Coordinate with vendors to spec products for facility use. Update & revise electrical schematics and other utility drawings by field verification or by marked up. Manage drawing files or record keeping.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience with MS office suite

Responsibilities

  • Create, review and update 2D and 3D drawing packages for presentation and fabrication purposes.
  • Draw/design various types of industrial drawings such as equipment layouts, foundations, safety platforms, machine guarding, and tooling.
  • Support team members with cost estimates, procurement, and project management. Communicate with GE Aerospace personnel such as Facilities Leader, EHS, and Team Leaders.
  • Coordinate with vendors to spec products for facility use.
  • Update & revise electrical schematics and other utility drawings by field verification or by marked up. Manage drawing files or record keeping.
  • Update various plant drawings.
  • Maintain files systems
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Creation of machine LOTO plaques
