About The Position
The Designer Drafter is responsible for performing architectural assignments with minimal supervision. The Designer Drafter develops and incorporates design intent into a quality set of construction documents. The Designer Drafter also assists Job Captain with completion of high-quality drawings and presentation materials from schematic design through construction administration.
Requirements
- Possesses basic knowledge of required programs: Auto Cad, Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Suite

Responsibilities
- Prepare preliminary design based on requirements or program.
- Review design with Job Captain, Project Manager, and if directed, with client for approval.
- Prepare construction documents / details for submittal.
- Apply codes.
- Submit project to the city and respond to the city comments with oversight.
- Approve submittals during construction administration phase with oversight.
- Performs day-to-day operations of all project phases with oversight.
- Perform assignments as required and directed.
- Assist Job Captain and Project Manager with coordination of architectural design with external consultant.
- Manages design hours on projects per established budget.
- Responsible for the accurate completion of construction document production and coordination.
- Responsible for code review on his/her projects with Job Captain or Project Manager.
- Responsible for deadlines on their projects.
- Reach out to vendors for receiving sample materials.
- Thorough investigation as-built conditions, verification of field conditions, and ADA assessments.
- Translating all findings into CAD or Revit files.
- Able to multi-task, balance project tasks, manage interruptions and keep project work flowing.
- Dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and personal/professional growth.
- Responsible for keeping Library organized.
- Creating new project folders, managing the files, and properly archiving project files.
