About The Position

The Component Definition Product department provide technical and operational drafting, CAD modeling and design support to the engineering functional groups. The employee may be required to give assistance to guiding, teaching and revision works done by other employees and even support other organization.

Requirements

Be eligible to work in Canada
College diploma / associate degree in engineering technology or engineering bachelor’s degree.
General knowledge of turbine engine manufacturing and operation.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Field of study: Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Manufacturing.
Experience using CATIA V5/V6, (2D and 3D) or similar.
Demonstrated organizational skills, strong communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team and willingness to learn new skills.
Requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

Produce engineering drawings, 3D models and specifications using a computer-aided design (CAD) system, specifically CATIA V5/V6 or equivalent.
Provide technical support throughout the detail design phase.
Ensure that all drawings, 3D models and documents meet established requirements.
Apply a thorough knowledge of mechanical drawing, engineering mathematics, geometric tolerances, manufacturing methods, knowledge of physics and strength of materials.
