Designer/Detailer, Modular R&D
About The Position
Fluidstack is seeking a Designer/Detailer for their Modular R&D team. This role is crucial for producing the detailed models and drawings that the factory uses for fabrication of structures, skids, and assemblies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for detailing steel and MEP to a fabrication level, including connections, penetrations, and BOM-linked parts. A key aspect of this role is the ability to rapidly turn revisions, converting engineering changes into updated packages within days, and maintaining a clean model with well-organized standards, libraries, and templates to expedite future unit production.
Requirements
- You've detailed for fabrication: structural steel, skids, or modular assemblies.
- Shops build from your drawings without calling.
- You model to standards and maintain library discipline.
- You handle revision storms without version chaos.
- You know how things get made: welds, bends, and the clearances real fabricators need.
Nice To Haves
- Tekla or Advance Steel.
- Revit or plant 3D.
- Weld symbols and AISC detailing.
- BIM coordination.
