This role will be a critical driver of our Amazon business merging aesthetic excellence with the power of generative tools to deliver impactful visual campaigns on time, on budget and with excellence. This position will be based at the Scotts Miracle-Gro world headquarters in Marysville , a suburb of Columbus, OH. Why This Role is Special: The Designer / AI Artist acts as the visual engine of our internal creative studio. You won't just be "making layouts"; you will combine your graphic design skill set and high taste level for brand-advancing visual expressions with using advanced tools to augment the human-driven creative process. While the primary focus of this role is driving our Amazon and e-commerce growth, you will also provide critical support for other Big Box retail partners, ensuring a cohesive strategy across our largest sales channels. You will support our Creative Directors in evolving our iconic brands (Scotts, Miracle-Gro, Ortho, etc.) for a digital-first world, ensuring that every asset across all consumer touchpoints - with a focus on digital touchpoints like our DTC website and CRM channels, plus our retail partner eCommerce platforms - are both beautifully reflective of our brands at their best and strategically sound.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Experience: 4-6 years of professional design experience, ideally on elite-scale brands. A strong portfolio demonstrating both traditional design principles (typography, color theory, composition) and ideally some examples of experimental AI-generated work.
Tech Literacy and Adoption: Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or similar creative platforms, and demonstrated experience with incorporating Generative AI tools into the creation of marketing content and creative
Artistic Intuition: The ability to take a strategic brief and transform it into a compelling visual narrative that resonates with diverse consumer segments.
Adaptability: A "lifelong learner" mindset with the ability to pivot as AI technology and design trends evolve daily.
Collaborative Spirit: A team player who can communicate creative concepts effectively to stakeholders and work cross-functionally with brand managers, marcom channel owners and copywriters.

Responsibilities

Visual Storytelling & Ideation: Concept and execute high-quality visual designs for digital programs and campaigns , with a heavy emphasis on Amazon advertising and product detail pages.
Omnichannel creative strategy and execution: Ensuring our brands’ visual identities and messaging remain cohesive across all touchpoints while adapting to the unique technical requirements of each platform to guides the consumer through a unified brand story, across device or medium.
Hybrid Design Execution: Seamlessly blend AI-generated assets with traditional retouching, typography and layout techniques in various to produce polished, final deliverables
Agile Iteration: Work within an agile marcom environment to rapidly produce personalized creative execution and creative variants for A/B testing, partnering with the marcom channel owners, analytics partners and business units to optimize designs based on performance data
AI-Augmented Creation: Lead the integration of Generative AI into the design workflow to accelerate prototyping, versioning and hyper-personalized content creation.
Innovation Advocacy: Help drive cultural working change to advocate for both the incredible impact new technologies can have to creative and content, and the importance of the human element in the most performance-effective and brand building marketing
