About The Position

Provide substation protection and control design, technical support, and coordination to a transmission substation engineering and design team for the purpose of delivering safe, cost-effective, and quality design and drafting projects. Provide technical competency on complex problems for projects including a wide range of utility substation projects, battery energy storage systems, and solar collector substations.

Requirements

• 2-4 Year(s) experience in CAD Design
• Proven Autocad and/or Microstation skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Self-Motivated
• Work independently
• Team-Oriented
• Customer Oriented
• Able to manage multiple tasks and provide leadership to other team members
• Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
• Think both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems

Responsibilities

• Understanding of protection and control designs as they apply to utility substation and transmission line equipment.
• Experience in reading and interpreting P&C design packages, including one- and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, panel drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Create substation P&C design drawings from client standards and industry best practices for substation P&C projects.
• Ability to interpret written specifications and implement them in engineering drawings.
• Collaborate, communicate, and liaise effectively with other design disciplines.
• Visit sites, advise on P&C design issues.
