Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children
- An associate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children
- A diploma in a field related to human services, education, or health from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children
- A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities AND four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3) of the MN statutes for 245D
- 2+ years of direct staff management in a health/human services setting (required)
- At least one year of full-time experience in direct care and 50 hours of relevant training (required)
- Experience with Minnesota 245D Designated Coordinator qualifications
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team while upholding person-centered and professional standards
- Proficient with technology and documentation
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Must be 21 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team while upholding person-centered and professional standards
- Supervise daily operations and compliance in accordance with Minnesota Statute 245D for assigned program sites
- Promote and protect the health and safety of persons served in accordance with Minnesota Statute 245D
- Provide training, support, and guidance for Direct Support Professionals following Minnesota Statute 245D and all applicable employment laws and vulnerable adult protections
- Guide teams to effectively interact with and among the persons served, staff, guardians, case managers, administrative team, community, and families of persons served
