Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 year of CNA experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant License and/or Home Health Aide certificate issued by the State of Florida
- Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing assistance, personal care, and appointment transports to clients under the direction of the Palm Beach PACE Center Manager.
- Listen and respond to client concerns and questions.
- Complete necessary and appropriate care, including toileting, vital signs, repositioning, transferring, bathing & dressing.
- Report all concerns and changes to appropriate nursing staff.
- Transport PACE Participants to/from Specialty Appointments in a PACE Designated vehicle or personal vehicle, assisting with personal care, transfers, and supervision.
- Assist residents with their nutritional needs.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance.
- Willingness to learn new concepts.
- Accept accountability for job performance.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Promote compassion and understanding for clients’ needs/wants.
- Attend work when assigned, check time card, check schedule and report for assignment in a timely manner.
- Ensure personal safety in all work, be alert, and watch out for the safety of the client.
- Communicate with clients, families, and staff with tact, diplomacy, and strong listening skills.
- Complete required documentation after the completion of care.
- File in the chart as required.
- Assist client with appropriate activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow infection control guidelines per policies and procedures.
- Complete care in a timely manner.
- Participate in all mandatory in-services.
- Comply with State of Florida Board of Nursing continuing education for the Certified Nursing Assistant.
