Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year of CNA experience
  • Certified Nursing Assistant License and/or Home Health Aide certificate issued by the State of Florida
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing assistance, personal care, and appointment transports to clients under the direction of the Palm Beach PACE Center Manager.
  • Listen and respond to client concerns and questions.
  • Complete necessary and appropriate care, including toileting, vital signs, repositioning, transferring, bathing & dressing.
  • Report all concerns and changes to appropriate nursing staff.
  • Transport PACE Participants to/from Specialty Appointments in a PACE Designated vehicle or personal vehicle, assisting with personal care, transfers, and supervision.
  • Assist residents with their nutritional needs.
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance.
  • Willingness to learn new concepts.
  • Accept accountability for job performance.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Promote compassion and understanding for clients’ needs/wants.
  • Attend work when assigned, check time card, check schedule and report for assignment in a timely manner.
  • Ensure personal safety in all work, be alert, and watch out for the safety of the client.
  • Communicate with clients, families, and staff with tact, diplomacy, and strong listening skills.
  • Complete required documentation after the completion of care.
  • File in the chart as required.
  • Assist client with appropriate activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow infection control guidelines per policies and procedures.
  • Complete care in a timely manner.
  • Participate in all mandatory in-services.
  • Comply with State of Florida Board of Nursing continuing education for the Certified Nursing Assistant.
