Design Verification Engineer - Acacia (Onsite)
About The Position
Acacia Communications Inc., a leader in disruptive client optics and coherent technology, is currently seeking a Device Verification Test (DVT) Engineer to design and run automated testing of PIC devices, assist development teams with design specifications, and improve production yields. Reporting into Acacia/Cisco Device Verification Test group, this engineer will work closely with our integrated silicon photonics, optical packaging, ASIC development, and the operations teams to deliver leading edge, high-yielding, high-throughput processes across Acacia/Cisco product line of optoelectronic components and modules.
Requirements
- Bachelors + 7 years of related experience, or Masters + 4 years of related experience, or PhD + 1 year of related experience
- Experience working in a lab.
- Experience with basic fiber optics components and test and measurement equipment
Nice To Haves
- Experience with high bandwidth RF, EO/OE testing
- Experience with client optics DSP, SerDes, and its testing
- Experience with software and test automation, especially based on Python
- DAC/ADC operations and controls experience
- Experience in optical communications, including PAM4 and coherent optical communications
- Experience with JMP or similar data analysis software
- C++, Matlab programming and VPI modelling experience
Responsibilities
- New product introduction – work closely with RF, silicon photonics, DSP, and module design teams to debug and bring-up new PICs and modules
- Develop test algorithms and calibration procedures
- Define and execute design verification test plans
- Responsible for design verification documentation
- Support PIC level failure analysis and troubleshooting
