About The Position

Within the CRDN Design Assurance Laboratory at Medtronic’s Mounds View site, the focus is on providing Quality support across all aspects of PDP from pre-market product development to post market product surveillance. The role participates in the design process to ensure the performance and safety of the complex electromechanical devices developed is assured and maintained throughout the product lifecycle. The role requires working onsite a minimum of 4 days per week as part of the commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration. This role will require less than 10% of travel.

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, vocational or technical education, or certification
  • Hands-on testing experience in a controlled laboratory setting
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment (for roles below Principal level).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO 17025
  • Basic experience executing installation qualification (IQ)
  • Self-starter who proactively collaborates with engineers to identify and solve problems, supports root causes, and advices solutions with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to use statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, MATLAB) to analyze and interpret test data is desirable
  • Experience in technical writing and presenting
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex electrical and hardware tests and be able provide updates to the broader team
  • Be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel for data collection and documenting processes
  • Work effectively and efficiently in a team environment and as an individual
  • Work to identify, document, and improve known or potential issues in the lab
  • Apply and maintain quality standards for all activities associated with product testing
  • Contribute to investigations associated with product testing
  • Comply to all applicable department, site-wide procedures and regulations
  • Develop custom test fixtures using the latest 3D solid modeling CAD design tools and best practices
  • Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects and work tasks to help meet challenging deadlines
