About The Position

Vulcraft Texas is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Engineering Design Supervisor. This position will be located in Grapeland, TX. The Design Supervisor will lead and supervise the Design Engineer and Shop Order Team to take care of our customers by providing mentoring, coaching and accountability through performance appraisals to the team, assuring consistent application of current design policies, procedures and practices, monitoring and reporting weekly payroll information, tracking and coordinating vacation, overseeing and managing individual work schedules and the production schedule, providing “World Class” service, meeting customer needs quickly and effectively, partnering with the Division Leadership team to drive continuous improvement, and supporting Business Development through customer and specifier interactions promoting Nucor’s value.

Requirements

Have a minimum of a B.S. Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Registered PE or Passed PE Exam and Completing PE Experience Requirement.

Nice To Haves

Prior Leadership Experience
Joist and Deck, Metal Buildings or Structural Steel Design and/or Detailing Experience
Willing to relocate for future advancement opportunities within Nucor
